Frequently Asked Questions
.) What type of Vinyl material is my graphic made out of? We use only the highest grade, most durable 7-year premium vinyl made. Guaranteed not to fade, peel or crack in 7 years and will usually out live most paint. (Note- Often times a supplier will provide you with only 3 year vinyl or less if you do not ask or request the best quality. Which will of course make that product a little cheaper than ours but not as durable.
.) Is there a difference in printed Vinyl and Non-Printed Vinyl? Yes. We use what we call single color overlay Vinyl which is made with the color pigment directly into the Vinyl material itself. Printed Vinyl is printed with U.V. protected inks, however they will break down over a period of time being exposed to heat, direct sunlight and the outdoor elements. Our overlay Vinyl will always outlive printed Vinyl due to this difference in the two types of manufactured products.
.) Will the Vinyl effect or damage the paint on my vehicle? No. Our Vinyl has a high quality unique adhesive on it which does not discolor or Penetrate the clear coat on the painted surface of your vehicle.
.) Can I remove the Vinyl graphic from my vehicle later on? Yes. The vinyl can be removed very easily with no damage to the paint surface. (See below for removal instructions.)
.) Can I wax over the Vinyl once applied to my vehicle? Yes. We recommend maintaining your vehicle and graphic surface just as if you would a custom paint job. Use only liquid, non-abrasive waxes. Wax regularly by hand and do not buff with a buffer unless you are very experienced using one. Too much pressure with a buffer will create friction that can get as high as 250% on the Vinyl, which will cause the Vinyl to melt and blister or even removing it completely in spots.
.) Can I shoot clear coat over the Vinyl once applied to my vehicle. Yes. It is a common practice in some paint shops and there has been no problems or complaints in clear coating over the Vinyl. Actually it is a smart thing to do if you want to take an extra step in finishing your vehicle graphic and painted surface.
.) After I have applied my Vinyl Graphics is there a waiting period before washing or waxing my vehicle? Yes. We recommend waiting at least 1 week before washing or waxing your vehicle if possible. However, the special adhesive on the Vinyl normally sets up in a 24-hour period and you should not have any problems with it coming off under normal conditions.
.) Will the adhesive affect the paint surface under the Vinyl if I choose to remove it at a later date? No. However, thus it is critical to maintain your vehicles paint surface just as you would a custom paint job. If you do not wax your vehicle regularly the paint surface of your vehicle will slowly oxidize which will create a noticeable difference between the unprotected oxidized paint surrounding the Vinyl and the protected paint surface underneath the Vinyl. Which is why we always recommend a regular wax job always.
.) What if my Graphic doesn’t fit my particular vehicle? We guarantee a custom fit specifically for your vehicle, which is why we stress how critical it is for you to provide us with one accurate horizontal measurement with your order as shown on the Measurement Example page of our Web Site. If for some reason your measurement is accurate and our graphic still does not fit, we will re-cut it again, free of charge and ship it to you. At that time we would require a digital picture of your vehicle with the measurement again to insure the problem is corrected without question. (Note- So far over a 3 year period we have had no graphic orders on any vehicles that did not fit as we said they would as long as the provided measurement requested is accurate at the time of ordering. References available upon request. )
.) What if I am in an accident and my vehicle and graphic are damaged, can they be replaced like they were before? Yes. We can match almost exactly the damaged area of vinyl and supply you with the very exact same image and color that you ordered. We will also provide you with instructions on replacing the graphic in the same position as it were before, registering it with the existing graphics already on your vehicle.
.) In case of an accident will is cost me anything to replace the damaged Vinyl? No. Once your graphics are applied to your vehicle, just provide your insurance company with a photograph of your vehicle with your purchased receipt and they will reimburse you for the Vinyl Graphic, which we will re-cut and supply to you exactly as before.
(Note- We often run into this dilemma and have successfully assisted several customers in the repair of their damaged vehicle. References available upon request.)
